Clef Hangers

The Clefs are celebrating their 35th anniversary this spring with a concert in Carmichael Arena! The concert will be on Saturday, April 13th, at 8:00pm. The Clefs’ first ever performance in Carmichael Arena is part of a jam-packed reunion weekend in Chapel Hill.

Tickets to the concert are on sale now at the Carolina Union Box Office or online at bit.ly/ZnC71m. They’ll also be available in the Pit from 10:00am-2:00pm starting Monday, April 1st. Feel free to call the Box Office at 919-962-1449 with any questions regarding tickets.

The Clefs will be releasing their newest album, The Mallard, at the concert as well! Featuring tracks from the 2011-2013 Clefs, The Mallard is sure to have something for everyone. The album will be made available for purchase at the concert and on iTunes following the concert.

The Clefs will be performing in Raleigh at Meymandi Hall Friday, March 22nd! We have a lot of new songs ready, so we can’t wait to see you there!

It’s almost time for Winter Jam! This year we will be performing on March 2nd in Gerrard Hall on UNC’s campus. We will also have 3 great guest groups: The UNC Loreleis, the Virginia Sil’hooettes, and USC’s Soundcheck! We have some very exciting news regarding our 35th Anniversary Spring Concert that we’ll be releasing soon. What we can tell you now is that the concert will be on April 13th, 2013. We will be performing again this year in the beautiful Knight Theater in Uptown Charlotte! The concert will be December 1st at 8 PM. Grab some friends and bring them out for a great night of music… we hear there will be some holiday music performed as well!

Fall Concert – “The Pursuit of Harmony” is coming up on Saturday, November 3rd! The concert will be held in Memorial Hall on UNC’s campus at 8 PM. Tickets are available now at the Memorial Hall box office or at memorialhall.unc.edu to purchase them online. We hope to see you there!

Come out to the State Fair today, October 11, and hear us, the UNC Loreleis, and groups from Duke and State as well! We’ll be performing in Dorton Arena at 7:30 PM. Afterwards head out and ride some rides and eat some deep-fried Oreos with us!

Congrats to our two new Fall ’12 new guys, Jason Hill and Carter Gregory!

We will be having Fall Auditions August 27th and 28th.  We’re looking for all male voice parts, so if you’re a guy who loves to sing (or you know a guy who loves to sing), we’d love to hear from you!  Look for us in the Pit every day until Tuesday, August 28 to sign up, or check out the sign up sheet at bit.ly/clefsfall2012 and email danielpotter@unc.edu with your preferred audition time!

Audition slots are 10-15 minutes, and we ask you to come prepared with a one minute solo of your choice.  Auditions will be held in the General Alumni Association, and callbacks will be on August 29th.
